Safe and space-saving design

The Sofia Chair Lift comes as a standard with a range of useful safety and space-saving features. The one-step fold-away function, allows the chair to neatly fold against the wall or balustrade, creating additional space for other stair users,

The seat safety sensor prohibits the stairlift to move before your are safely and comfortably seated in your Sofia, and the armrests are fully lowered.

• Comfortable and stylish chair The Sofia offer elegant comfort, with a padded back and seat, available in a variety of different materials such as hard wearing woven, durable easy-clean vinyl and supple leather, which are all fire retardant and available in a wide range of colours to suit your home and taste
• Adjustable arms with intuitive controls and removable key During the installation process the technicians will adjust the size of your Sofia armrests for additional comfort. To operate your chairlift all you need to do is to gently move the controls into the direction you want to travel. The controls also double as a key, which allows you to quickly lock your stairlift, this is especially useful if small children are visiting.
• One-step fold-away and removable link bars* this means that all you need to do is flip-up the arms or the seat and the footrests follow making it quick and hassle-free to fold up your chair against the wall and create more space on your stairs. The removable link bars allow for a comfortable side transfer if required. *Please note that by removing the link bars the one-step fold function will be removed
• Easy-to-use swivel levers Use the standard easy-to-operate manual swivel lever, or for those with limited strength in their hands, the optional one or two-way powered swivel, to get off your stairlift in the safest position at the top or bottom of your stairs
• Safety edges Safety sensors around the footrest and carriage automatically detect any obstruction on your stairs, bringing your Sofia to a safe and gentle stop
• Easy-to-use seatbelt Use the specifically designed belt which can be fastened easily with one hand
• Seat safety sensor A sensor within the seat ensures your stairlift won't move until you're safely settled in your chair dimensions
